dance & art

“I am interested in viscerally impactful dance art - as a performer and a maker. I want my work to be felt in your body. I sometimes feel that dance art can be unrelatable from an audience’s perspective. As a performer, I strive to offer access to the performance from a place of the embodied human experience - can you feel what I am feeling with your hands as eyes, touch-sensing the physical work in front of you and then understanding the experience through your own physicality? As a choreographer I want to create work that is inclusive and transformative. I want to call into question the boundaries of the stage, to create recognition of our shared humanity and to then stimulate a cathartic experience. My goal is to make art that gives pleasure as an experience of deeper awareness through the connection to and reclaiming of sensuality.”

Sensuality: the condition of being pleasing or fulfilling to the senses.
Middle English, denoting the animal side of human nature.
